The Gold Standard system uses web server logs to help diagnose problems with the server and to administer the web site. Server logs are analyzed by a commercial tool to provide simple access demographics, including "New vs. Returning Visitors", "Top Visitors", "Top Geographic Regions", and other statistical reports. Although some reports may identify particular computers or networks by IP address, this data is for internal use only and will not be shared with other companies or agencies (unless required by law).

The Gold Standard system uses cookies to keep track of the state of your session and may also use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests. No personal information is stored in cookies. If cookies are disabled, applications in the protected portion of the Gold Standard will not work properly.

Registration Forms

To participate in the Gold Standard Program, a participant must register with Gold Standard using a registration form. This form requires users to give us contact information (name, email, and telephone number). This information is transmitted securely to Gold Standard via SSL, and is not shared with third parties. Email addresses provided to Gold Standard via this public form will not be used for Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE) purposes. Contact information from the registration forms may be used to get in touch with the participant when necessary. Unique identifiers (i.e., login ids) are used to verify the user's identity when the user logs in to begin a session or to view settlements.

Security

The Gold Standard Administer has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Firewalls protect each site from improper Internet Access. Only registered Account Holders are allowed to view Gold Standard account information. Account Holders must be authenticated at login by supplying a valid user-id and password. All sensitive browser communications (including login) are encrypted via SSL. Standard IPSEC tunnels protects sensitive inter-site communications. The Gold Standard Administer will periodically review and update the Gold Standard security policies to incorporate best practices and new technology. Although Gold Standard Administer will use reasonable efforts to provide data security, the Gold Standard Administer does not warrant that such efforts will be successful, and does not warrant the security of data provided to Gold Standard.
